Ramadan Treats

Ⓡⓐⓜⓐⓓⓐⓝ Ⓢⓤⓖⓐⓡ Ⓒⓞⓞⓚⓘⓔⓢ✨

Ramadan is a time for prayer and worship, and we shouldn't spend too much time preparing food. This recipe is fairly easy and won't take much time either. 


ℙ𝕣𝕖𝕡 𝕥𝕚𝕞𝕖: 𝟚𝟘 𝕞𝕚𝕟𝕦𝕥𝕖𝕤   ℂ𝕠𝕠𝕜 𝕥𝕚𝕞𝕖: 𝟙𝟘 𝕞𝕚𝕟
𝕋𝕠𝕥𝕒𝕝 𝕥𝕚𝕞𝕖: 𝟛𝟘 𝕞𝕚𝕟          𝕊𝕖𝕣𝕧𝕚𝕟𝕘𝕤: 𝟜𝟠

𝕀𝕟𝕘𝕣𝕖𝕕𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕤:

  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cups white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

𝔻𝕚𝕣𝕖𝕔𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟𝕤:

𝕊𝕥𝕖𝕡 𝟙: 
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

𝕊𝕥𝕖𝕡 𝟚:
  1. In a small bowl, stir flour, baking soda, and baking powder together.

𝕊𝕥𝕖𝕡 𝟛: 
In a large bowl, beat sugar and butter together with an electric mixer until it is smooth. Add in an egg and vanilla. Gradually mix the wet mixture and the dry mixture together. Roll dough into walnut-sized balls and place 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.

𝕊𝕥𝕖𝕡 𝟜:
Bake in the preheated oven until edges are golden, 8 to 10 minutes. Place on the baking sheets each 3 inches apart before removing them to a wire rack to cool off.

𝕊𝕥𝕖𝕡 𝟝:
Lastly, ice the cookies after they have cooled down. (optional) The recipe for icing is given below. 

𝕀𝕟𝕘𝕣𝕖𝕕𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕤:
  • Confectioners’ Sugar
  • Milk or Heavy Cream
  • Vanilla Extract
Mix it up, and you're done.
